How Much Does Bouquet Preservation Cost? (And Is It Worth It?)
By the time you're a few months into planning, you've seen more line items than you ever expected. Venue, photographer, caterer, florist. Each one is gone by midnight except for a few: your photos, your dress, and, if you plan for it, your bouquet.
Here's what bouquet preservation costs, what changes the price, and how brides fit it into the budget.

What bouquet preservation costs
Pricing depends on the size of the piece and how much of your wedding you want in it. At ADONIA Studios, wedding preservation is priced in four tiers:
Tier | Price | Best for |
Small | from $325 | A few favorite blooms, or a smaller bouquet |
Signature | $525 | Most bridal bouquets |
Grand | $850 | Large or cascading bouquets, or a bouquet plus boutonnieres and extra stems |
Heirloom | $1,200 | A statement piece for a main wall |
Add-ons
Personal details (your names, wedding date, a special photo or your invitation): +$55
Fabric accents (ribbon from your bouquet or lace from your dress): +$70
Bridal party keepsakes: $55 each
Keepsakes for parents and grandparents: $100 each
A 25% deposit reserves your date.
What changes the price
Frame size. The biggest factor. A larger frame holds more of the bouquet's shape.
How many flowers you keep. Adding boutonnieres, bridesmaid bouquets or ceremony stems adds pressing and design time.
Personal details. Invitations, vows, photos and fabric are all worked into the design by hand.
Keepsakes. Smaller pieces for your wedding party or parents, made from the same flowers.
Getting the flowers to the studio. ADONIA offers next-day pickup from your venue or florist on the South Shore and around Boston. Shipping is available elsewhere.
Why it costs what it does
Professional preservation is handmade, one bouquet at a time. Your bouquet is photographed, taken apart, and each bloom is pressed, then rebuilt and framed to match your original design. It takes hours of hands-on work and about 6 to 8 weeks from pickup to frame. You're paying for an original piece of art made from your own flowers.
Is bouquet preservation worth it?
Think about where the rest of your budget goes. Most wedding spending is for one day: the food, the music, the rentals. It's gone by midnight.
Your bouquet is often one of the most carefully designed things you'll hold all day. Preservation is the one floral choice that doesn't end at the reception. It becomes the first heirloom in your home, and something you walk past every day instead of a photo you scroll past once a year.
It's worth it if:
You loved your florals and want to see them again.
You'd like one piece of wall art that tells the story of your day.
You want something meaningful to pass down.
How brides budget for it
Add it to your registry. Most couples already live together, so registries are shifting toward experiences and heirlooms. A bouquet preservation cash fund lets guests give you something that lasts. Here's how to set one up.
Let family gift it. Many moms and grandparents want to give something that lasts longer than the day. Preservation makes a meaningful gift from the mother of the bride or a shower host.
Book early. A 25% deposit holds your date months ahead, which gives registry gifts time to come in.
Plan it with your florist. When you finalize your floral design (usually 3 to 6 months out), ask what happens to your bouquet after the wedding. Planning both together keeps it simple.
